Scooter

He was a large kind person.  He grew up on the south side of Chicago.  He hurt his leg as a kid and walked with a limp.  His friends called him Scooter.  After high school, he got a job at Ace Hardware.  His uncle down in Florida invited him down for a fishing trip in Punta Gorda, Florida.  They fished in Charlotte Harbor.  Scooter loved the fishing, the closeness with nature and the respect his uncle taught him for the environment.  Annual fishing trips emerged.  After his uncle’s passing, his mom moved to Punta Gorda to live with his aunt.  Scooter continued his annual trips.  Events conspired to make Scooter move south.  He loved living and fishing on the waters of Charlotte Harbor.  It transformed him.
