Gold has been in demand for eons.  Tom buys gold from mining dealers in Guyana.  It is a dangerous business.  Tom is set to retire; he is training Mike to take his place.  In Guyana they are purchasing dore gold (low grade) from first level dealers working with the miners.  It can be dangerous.  They run into trouble.  They are fighting for their lives.
