Chance Encounter

In Chance Encounter, Dennis Wesley Clark weaves a tender story. A love story. Written from the point of view of the man that was completely enamored with her.

She had me with her first smile. For both of us, there was an instant affinity. Learning about each other was delightful, fun and exciting. She was so full of life and enthusiasm. She had ways that endeared her to me. The coy dip of her eyes to signal that I should pay attention.  A laugh that ‘threw care to the wind’.  A way of rubbing the top of my hand to signal that she was leaving on her next adventure.  And most of all, she had this way of always being ahead of me and somehow in charge.

Then, she fell ill.  I was losing her…slowly.  Our final days together were filled with tender care and fulfilling her desires to leave a special legacy.
